23 Greenfield transfer of deed
The documents formally conveying the building at 23 Greenfield Avenue from its former owner, James Taylor, to Ron and Michelle Riggi (or rather, an LLC they created to purchase the property), was filed last week with the Saratoga County Clerk's office.
This isn't new news, but we certainly waited a long time to see the formal documentation of the sale. The purchase price was $1,225,000.
The house remains in limbo, as it no protected by a demolition moratorium put into place by the City Council earlier this summer. Of course, the Riggi's have sued the city in response.

Where were all these people when they tore down part of the rip van dam hotel which is in a historic district, the riggis'have rights too.
Who cares?
the thing is, the riggi's like to think that the public adores them, however, by buying the house for the sole purpose of tearing it down, has upset many. so, it appears we'll have to wait to see what they will do. will they stick their neck's out so to speak!!!i know they would like to buy a hospital, but it sits the wrong way with a lot of people, after buying a $1.2 million dollar home. they could've used the $1.2 on a animal hospital. just a though.
I don't care.
And the back of the Rip was built in the 1950's. It wasn't that historic.
Where were are these people when they torn down Riley's ? Now they want a $10. donation for their "Save the Historic Houses" signs--where is the money going ?
