A satirical group calling themselves RepubliCorp organized a small protest outside Saratoga National Golf course on Wednesday where 21st Congressional candidate Elise Stefanik was expected to appear at a fundraiser.
The group was organized by plain clothes citizens dressed and in character as lobbyists and CEOs, held signs and presented Stefanik a check for $300,000, as a reward for what they call her ability to serve corporate interests and to "fund future votes."
Protestors acted as members of the "one percent" and sarcastically touted Stefanik as the right person for the job.
"She will keep acquiring money from Karl Rove and ruin your life," Bill Baker of Averill Park said.
