New concept for the money train
Today's post comes courtesy of the New York Times.
It seems that even in times where even the wealthy are spending with slightly more restraint, there is still room for a luxury train from New York to Atlantic City.
Here's a thought: perhaps Saratoga could set up something similar from the 2009 meet? It certainly wouldn't hurt to cut down on car traffic in the city.

Andrew, the money train (Race Track Special)to Saratoga hasn't run in a few years. It was hardly used the last few years it ran, even though it was a good deal. Train fare, snack, and beverage for about $70. That even included bus transportation to and from the race track.
Amtrak did modify their daily schedule to accomodate people wanting to travel by train to the race track. But not as an organized tour. A few people still come to the race track this way.
