Blotter for Jan. 11, 2013
No arrests Thursday, but that doesn't mean the police weren't doing anything.
The SSPD assisted the NYPD in
looking for someone in the city, who turned out not to live here anymore. Also
an assistance on a rape case out of another agency, though it doesn’t specify
which one.
10:06 a.m.: Christmas tree in the roadway. ‘Tis the season.
At about 5 p.m. a woman from Florida asked the police to
check on her homeless daughter, who evidently lives in the city. She had
third-party information that her daughter may harm herself. Police checked around
at several locations, finding her after about an hour and she turned out fine.
6:19 p.m. on Route 9 in Saratoga Springs, dispatchers sent
out fire and EMS to assist with a motor vehicle accident with entrapment the
State Police were handling, though it is a little unclear where. The blotter
indicates that it was a crash at the end of a State Police pursuit, but the
NYSPD spokesperson didn’t know anything about it. I’m looking into whether it
was anything. I’ll update later with more info.
8:51 p.m. on Caroline Street: an intoxicated female looked
like she had been in a physical dispute. She told police she fell and was brought to the hospital for treatment.
